Grizzly Lake, 2017 BFG Outstanding Trails Grant Winner

In November 2017, BFGoodrich Tires announced at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas that CORE had won a trail grant for Grizzly Lake. CORE nominated the trail in 2016 with the intent of adding winch point and a barrier fence to the Guardian Obstacle to keep users on the trail and to add a kiosk at the beginning of the trail. Work on this trail was completed in summer of 2018. If you are interested in applying for a BFG Outstanding Trail Grant you can apply here.

Clohesy Lake, 2018 Clean Trail Grant Winner

In 2018 CORE was awarded a Clean Trail Grant from Extreme Terrain. This grant will be used to help fund a kiosk at the Clohesy Lake Trailhead and to place signage along the route alerting users to the sensitive areas along both sides of the trail. Clohesy Lakes is an extremely unique trail as it is the only cherry stem access road into the Collegiate Peaks Wilderness Area in Central Colorado. Apply for you own Clean Trail Grant here.
